I love spades

ilovespades.com is a site where you can play spades online either against real people or computers (or a combo of the two)

it's free to play but you have to sign up first.

once you do that you can join a game or create your own.

a nice feature that this site has is that it has a chat function, so you talk smack while you play.

this might not be as fun as playing spades in person but if you either want to play a quick game and don't have others to play with or all your friend are to far away this is a good way to either play with strangers or get your friends together.

EYEZ LABS (SEEK ver.0)

In this game there are little squares with letters and numbers on them moving on a conveyor belt.

you have to click on the matching letter/number on the pad below the coveyor belt before that letter/number falls off.

the higher you guy the more letters/numbers become aviable which means the pad has much choices it becomes harder and hard to find anything before the letters/numbers fall off.

Obama Game

the Obama game is a flash game dealing with the democratic primaries.

in the game you trying to get Obama enough votes in each region so Obama can beat Clinton and make it to the general election.

How do you get votes you ask?

like in the real world...you play bubble bobble.


as stated earlier even though I have but up a few political games I would like free-play.blogspot.com to stay apolitical...but I still would like to note that I think that you should go out and vote.

John McCain Pork Invaders

Pork Invaders is a web game that can be found on Presidentail hopeful.

the game is just space invaders but instead of shooting down aliens you shot down pigs (and barrels of pork)

after the end of each level they have a message that is pro-McCain and anti-Obama.

I don't know if this is supposed to be aimed at younger voters to try to get them to vote or at the childern of voters to try to get their parents to vote McCain

rock a bye Cerberus

In this game you play a record player that is trying to keep the giant three headed dog of mythology a sleep.

to do this you must catch the falling blue records, but stay away from the ones that flash blue and red.

from time to time a trumpt player will pop up and you have to jump him before he starts to play.

collect 30 records and you win, but if all three heads of Cerberus are awake you lose.

Doctor Ku's the kitchen

in this point and click game your object is simple escape from the kitchen.

sadly the chef wont let you leave for some reason, so you must find ways to cause enough mayham behind his back that you can leave.


I love point and click games, the only problem with this game was that it took me some time to figure out what I had to do. but once I found out, the game was ok...not great but still it's a solid point and clicker

it looks like I was right about the new Lost ARG

I got this email the other day, it seems like the Lost ARG will kick off at this year's comic con.

Grow nano vol 3

in this Grow game you are trying to get a sick man (person) well.

you have to click on the items in squares on the left and right side of the screen and try to find out how to use the items in the right order to get your little person well.

fun, the game like the title says (or at least the nano part) this is a small...IE short game. So it's perfect if you are looking for a quick play.

interesting thing about this game was that the creator was sick when he made the game.

HyperBucket 2

HyperBucket 2 is a game where you are trying to get your ball into the red bucket as fast as you can.

it's a bit of a fast past action/puzzle game where you shoot a ball bucket to bucket. Different buckets act differently, some spin around and you have to shot your ball out at the right angle, others go back and forth, some turn around and fling you out automatically and some you have to shoot out your self, etc

the red bucket shoots you out like a rocket to the next stage.

also you there are some stars in the level that you can collect.

this game relies more on fast reflexes but there are a few puzzle elements in the game since sometimes you have to figure out what is the best bucket to aim at to reach you goal.


I like the game it was fast past and frenetic

Bubbles

Bubbles is a game similar to bubble babble.

you shoot shoot different colored bubbles at a heard of bubbles trying to get at least 3 matching colors together. once you get a match the bubbles will pop.

the heard of bubble goes down when you shoot but don't make a match.

the game ends when at least one bubble makes it past the bottom of the screen.

One difference in bubbles is the fact that when the bubbles go down they sometimes rearrange themselves. Which can sometimes be a good (a bunch of colors just group themselves together) or bad (you're planed next move was taking away because the group of balloons you where about to target broke up) thing depending on who they do so.

Beat Battle

beat battle is a mix between guitar hero and a fighting game.

to attack or defend you have to hit the right keys at the right time (when a bar goes over it)

I'm not really that good at Guitar Hero type games but I thought the combining of the two types of games is an interesting ideal.

though I think this might appeal a little more to those who like guitor hero type games because of the way the controls work.

Tube Crisis

in this point and click game you are a woman on a crowded subway train who wants more room. you have to find away to get the people around you to leave.

each person has his or her thing that will send them out of the train try to find it.

Some of the out comes of that this woman takes do lead to somewhat humorous actions to the people around her.

Pandemonium

in Pandemonium you are trying to collect muffins so you can get the ulitmate muffin.

each level you are on a high area and most collect muffins (or at least the muffins they tell you to collect) with out getting hit by falling blocks or stepping on landmines.

the controls are easy and the basics of the game are simple, but pandemonium is still a a game that offers it challenges partly due to it's pacing and small area (I found it easy to slip off the edge when trying to run out of the way of a block)

it's a fun game, though a bit short (which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you are looking to play right now)

a new Lost ARG?

Recently abc has put up a webpage tied into there show lost and I think it might be a gateway page for a new ARG (alternative reality game)

Octagon Global Recruiting is a job company looking for people to work in unpaid positions for the Dharma Initiative.


the recruiting drive wont start until around the end of July and so there isn't much game to play now, but you can enter your email address right now and if this is a game I am sure you will be contacted in some fashion.

I'm pretty sure this page is legit. Last year Lost ran an ARG and tied events to comicon and that starts July 24th so that and the fact that there the copyright notice at the bottom of the page (and video) says this site is copyrigted by abc leads me to believe so.


*on a side note it seemed like ever attempt I made to post info on this game until now failed for some reason. either because blogger was down or the fact that the city I lived in (and much of the surrounding area) had a blackout for the last few days...clearly the island didn't want me to post this until now.

Smiley Puzzle

Smiley Puzzle is a puzzle game similar to the popular bejeweled game.

in the game you have to match at least 3 smiley faces of the same color. by sliding rows and colums of happy faces (unless the that row or colum has a locked face)

unlike most games of this type you not only can match them in a row or colum but also in an L shape.

there are two mods of play, a timed mode that has 24 levels or a timeless endless mod.


I like this game it comes of easy put once you keep playing you'll notice that it can get hard.

Sonic Gophone game

as you can tell by the name of the game Sonic gophone game is game that is really just an ad for AT&T gophone.

you play Tails who much "race" through the level, collect coins and convence Sonic to allow him to have a gophone.

the game looks like an earlier Sonic the hedgehog game, but it plays to slow for something with the name Sonic in the title.

this game is really short which is a good thing because this is not a good Sonic game (even one that is free)
