I like many of you love to play games. And I love things that are free. Here is where I combine my two loves and search the web for some of the best free games. I will brave the trenches of the Internet; bare the time I could have spent at work to tell you about the games I found and what I think about them. So, with no further ado here are the game reviews…

Nexus War

Nexus war is a browser based MMORPG similar to games like Urban Dead.

The game is set in a post apocalyptic future where there is a big war between the forces of good and evil. You, you are placed in this war as…well whatever you choose. This game gives you a wide range of freedom on how to play the game (you know for a game where you pretty much push buttons on your monitor)

Do you want to go around killing people? Yep you can do that.
Would heal people instead of harm them? you can do that to
Fix stuff or destroy every thing in site. Have a ball.

The only thing that will be the same to all players is the fact that you will die…a lot.

In the game you start out as a mortal person (with what ever skill you chose) but by gaining experiences points you learn more and move up to higher level. So with each level your character should or could have as many skills, but if you are killed you will loose action points corresponding your level. Once you reach the tenth level you evolve into a higher being.

Each time you raise to a new class you are able to learn new sets of skills but the game also gets harder in the fact that you need to earn a lot more experience to gain the next level and you don’t get any or little experience from beating up those that are weaker then you.

The game puts a limit on the amount you can do in a day by only allowing 50 action points basically twice a day (you get a new action point but another benefit you get for reaching the 10th level is that you our allowed to use more then 50 action points (one for each level you reach after 9)

Another cool feature in the game is that you can join/create your own faction. Which are groups of like minded people that similar goals in the game. Factions are also people that will have you back, members might heal you when you are injured, and if they have a strong hold a safer place to sleep.

In this game you can also earn badges (some which give experience points) by either searching for badges that are place through out places on the map and by reaching goals set in the game.

As I said they give you a lot to do, after playing for a few weeks I still have reach haven’t reach half of what I can. Because of this game’s open endness I recommend checking it out.

Boom Shine

in this mellow but strangly adducting game you are trying to start a chain react of growing circles.

each level you must meet or excide a number of circles in a row to pass.

it's just short enough that by the time you get bored with it the game is over, builds up in skill level and easy to play.

I give this game a thumbs up for those who want to a little time.

Bring it on: all or nothing

this is a "rythme" game where you have to hit a key at the right time.

basically a Dance Dance revolution game but is based on the direct to dvd sequal to bring it on staring the cheerleader from heroes playing a cheerleader.

I didn't care much for it. if you like these types of games with out a dance pad (but really that's what makes DDR so much fun) then you might want to check it out. but there are thousands of better versions

Lar's Adventure

Lar's adventure is basically a simple platform game. to leave each level you must find a key and a door to get out.

what makes it fun is that its a little trippy. when you jump on an enemy they make odd animal sounds. the back ground music is really just a loop 60's school education video about atomic bomb safety.
